Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has received in audience the outgoing Commanding Officer of the 144 Battalion, Madagali, Lt. Col. Fanto, alongside Lt. Col. Abubakar, who is set to assume command as the new Commanding Officer.
The meeting marks a formal transition of leadership within the battalion, a key military formation responsible for maintaining security in the Madagali axis and surrounding communities.



Lt. Col. Fanto, while reflecting on his time in Adamawa, commended Governor Fintiri for what he described as exceptional leadership, particularly in supporting security operations and fostering collaboration between the military and the state government.
Governor Fintiri, in his remarks, appreciated the outgoing commander for his service and contributions to peace and stability in the state, while assuring the incoming Commanding Officer of continued cooperation and support in tackling security challenges.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property across Adamawa State.
